What affects search results
Our algorithm ranks sitters by several factors, but some count more than others. Acceptance rate, popularity, availability and location matter most. We also rotate the top of the list so you see a range of sitters across different services.
Acceptance rate.
Sitters who accept care requests more often and respond quickly rank higher. A high acceptance rate signals an active, committed sitter.
Popularity.
Popular sitters appear higher up. Popularity reflects how customers respond to a profile: bookings received, repeat customers, saves to favourites and messages sent.
Availability.
Sitters with open spots for the dates you searched appear higher up. An up-to-date calendar and open times improve ranking.
Location.
Location is a big factor. Sitters close to you rank higher in search results.
